Listening Events for Cumbria’s Mental Health Service Improvement Programme

Your help is needed to shape the future of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Cumbria and the first step is to come to one of our Listening Events.

The Listening Events will be led by Service Improvement experts who want to talk to people that use services and the people who care for them.  We want to find out which bits you think need to improve and what you think ‘good’ services would be like - all of your ideas, feedback and experiences will be used develop future plans for Mental Health and Learning Disability services in the county.

There will be a number of events in Carlisle and four in Barrow and each will focus on a different part of the service:

Monday 10th Sept

Adult Mental Health    1pm - 4pm

Tuesday 11th Sept

Autism    1pm - 3pm

Tuesday 11th Sept

Children and Young People’s Mental Health    4pm - 7pm

Wednesday 12th Sept

Learning Disability Services    1pm - 4pm

Thursday 13th Sept

Older People’s Mental Health Services

1pm – 4pm


Events at The Forum, 28 Duke Street, Barrow-in-Furness

Monday 17th Sept

Adult Mental Health    1pm - 4pm

Tuesday 11th Sept

Autism    1pm - 3pm

Tuesday 18th Sept

Children and Young People’s Mental Health    4pm - 7pm

Wednesday 19th Sept

Learning Disability Services    1pm - 4pm

Friday 21st Sept

Older People’s Mental Health Services    1pm - 4pm

We will also be providing transport if this is required - if you need further support to get to the events please let us know when you make your booking.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Additionally, we are also holding events for staff and partners to hear their feedback; this will ensure we will receive rounded feedback from all involved within mental health and learning disabilities in Cumbria. 

All feedback from the events will be collated and will be used to develop future plans for services..
